Helm Crag, Grasmere
We started our walk in Grasmere village and made our way towards Helm Crag.
The walk began with a gentle ascent, taking us through woodland and then out into open fields dotted with sheep and a heron. As we climbed higher, the path became much steeper, so there were plenty of excuses to stop and take photographs of the views.
The higher we climbed, the more impressive the views became, and from the top, we could see Grasmere Lake and the surrounding fells. The summit of Helm Crag is known for its distinctive rocks, often called the Lion and the Lamb because of their shape.
