Malham Cove

Malham Cove on a Rainy Day

We visited Malham on a very grey and rainy day. The positive thing was that it was a lot quieter than it usually is. Starting our walk in Malham, the river looked very full due to all the rainfall. We followed the path through the fields and into the woodland, where we soon came across Janet’s Foss.

A short detour from the route took us to the impressive Gordale Scar. We then continued on to Malham Cove. The limestone was very, very slippery to walk across after the rain. The views from the top stretched for miles across the Yorkshire Dales, and, despite the grey skies, we could still see a long way, and I quite liked the atmosphere the weather gave the photographs.

Before returning home, we took the short journey to Malham Tarn.
