A Spring Day at Robin Hood's Bay
On what was probably the hottest day of the year so far, we headed to the coast and visited Robin Hood's Bay for the first time.
With the tide coming in, we started with a walk along the beach, keeping an eye out for fossils amongst the stones and sand. Along the shore were little towers of carefully balanced pebbles, some of them surprisingly tall.
After wandering along the beach, we made our way back through the village. The steep, winding lanes are lined with little cottages, their orange rooftops standing out in the bright summer sunshine. At the top, we were rewarded with a beautiful view back down across the village and out towards the sea.
It was my first visit to Robin Hood's Bay, and although the heat made it a very warm day for exploring, it was lovely to finally see somewhere I'd never photographed before.
