Gormire Lake
We stopped to see Gormire Lake on a grey day on the North York Moors.
The first view of the lake was from above, with the water sitting below the surrounding hills. We walked down to the water, surrounded by trees and the hills rising around the lake. I loved being able to photograph it from both viewpoints.
Apparently, the name Gormire means "filthy swamp", which seems a little harsh for a pretty place.
