Rydal Water is a lake near the hamlet of Rydal. It wasn’t somewhere I'd been before; we stumbled across it on the way to Grasmere to get some of their famous gingerbread. There’s parking at the lake, and after crossing over a bridge, you’re greeted with stunning scenery. The are a few different tracks that you can walk – we chose one that took us alongside the lake up to Rydal Cave.
