Winter at Robin Hood's Bay

I visited Robin Hood's Bay on a winter day, when the village and beach were much quieter than usual.

We walked along the beach before heading up onto the clifftops, where we could look back at the rows of orange-roofed cottages below. I also spotted an oystercatcher along the shore, which gave me another reason to stop with the camera.

The weather began to change as dark clouds rolled in over the sea. We decided it was probably time to head home, but just as we were leaving, a rainbow appeared across the bay.
