Runswick Bay

When I visited Runswick Bay the other day, the weather just couldn’t make up its mind. We arrived to rain, but by the time we made it along the beach, the sun had decided to make an appearance. The cliffs around the bay looked even more dramatic with the changing light, and the sandy beach was almost empty, making it feel like we had the place to ourselves. We wandered along the shore, watching the waves roll in, and by the time we were ready to leave, the sun was fully out, and a cormorant popped its head out of the water.
