A Surprise at Staithes
We went to Staithes to watch the sunset from the clifftops. We walked along the cliffs, and as we turned back towards Staithes, I spotted a boat in the distance. Then I noticed something moving around it.
There was a pod of dolphins swimming alongside the boat, around seven or eight of them. Every now and then, one would leap out of the water before disappearing beneath the waves again, seemingly following the boat along the coast.
I've never seen dolphins at Staithes before, so it was a lovely surprise.
