Cragside and Wallington

Cragside in Northumberland is somewhere I like to visit most years when the rhododendrons are out. The gardens are bursting with vibrant pinks, purples, and reds and we spent the day wandering through the grounds, discovering hidden corners and taking in the stunning views of the house and surrounding landscape. There's a walk which starts opposite the house, which takes you through paths of rhododendrons, or you can enjoy them from your car via the carriage drive.

The walled garden at Wallington always looks lovely in the summer. There are lots of flowers, including my favourite blue delphiniums, and wisteria and roses in full bloom, too.
