St Bees

St Bees

We visited the village of St Bees on the west coast, just outside the Lake District, and spent some time wandering along the quiet beach.

There were lots of rockpools to explore, and I always enjoy stopping to see what I can find in them. We also wandered into the village, where I found some blossom trees and an old-looking church door.

St Bees is also the starting point of the Coast-to-Coast walk, which eventually makes its way across the country to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire. I’ve visited Robin Hood’s Bay before, so it was nice to see the other end of the route too. From the beach, you can even see the Isle of Man in the distance on a clear day.
