Richmond and Easby Abbey

Easby Abbey, also known as the abbey of St Agatha, is a ruined abbey on the banks of the River Swale. Set in the outskirts of Richmond, there is a short walk from Richmond Castle along the river to the Abbey. The Abbey was founded in 1152. It is now grade I listed and maintained by the English Heritage, although it is free to visit.
