A Quick Visit to Carlisle
When we arrived in Carlisle by train, we had about an hour before we needed to head back to the station, so we went for a quick wander around the city.
With only a short time to explore, we didn't get to see everything, but Carlisle Cathedral and castle caught my eye. The castle is located near the ruins of Hadrian's Wall. We wandered through the streets, took a few photographs and then made our way back to the station for our train home.
It wasn't a long visit, but sometimes a short wander is enough to get a feel for somewhere new.
