Heather at Hutton-le-Hole
We stopped in Hutton-le-Hole for dinner before heading out onto the moors to see the heather, as the North York Moors were completely covered in purple. We followed a quiet path towards Lastingham, with the heather stretching across the hills around us.
There was plenty of wildlife along the way, too. We passed a little farm where lots of pheasants were wandering around, and met a sheep with huge curly horns. It's one of my favourite things about this time of year, seeing the moors transformed into a sea of purple for a few weeks before the colour disappears again.
