Grasmere | Lake District

A Quick Visit to Grasmere

Our visit to Grasmere was only a fleeting one, but it was enough to make me want to come back and explore more of the area. We wandered through the village and, of course, couldn't leave without visiting the famous Grasmere Gingerbread shop. It's tiny inside, and only a couple of people can fit in at a time.

We also spent some time walking around the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden. We were there at the wrong time of year for the daffodils, but it was still a lovely garden to walk through. We also found a path made from stones that had people's names on them. It was still being completed when we visited.

Although we didn't have much time to explore, I enjoyed wandering around the village and taking a few photographs. Grasmere definitely feels like somewhere I'd like to return to when I have more time.
